Perlier Caribbean Vanilla is pretty feminine, but I use it to layer with other gourmands. Smells like vanilla extract, with a touch of coconut.

  5. Will Chung says:

SDV is almost like vanilla extract.
Vanille 44 is a dry unsweet incense vanilla that has quite the following but it’s expensive.

  18. Baron Nelson says:

Bethany Torisky Szumigale lmao it’s funny because when I was typing the list, I told myself “hmm maybe I should add more, but I don’t want to over do it” lol!

  19. Bethany Torisky Szumigale says:

  24. Malek Mohammed says:

Baron, how would you describe the difference between Vanille West Indies and Sucre Noir? I didn’t care for the kind of vanilla used in West Indies. Does the vanilla in Sucre Noir smell different? if yes, how? 🙂

  25. Baron Nelson says:

Malek Mohammed hey! So I feel that Sucre Noir is a pure sugary vanilla that’s somewhat like a “natural” version of cotton candy (if that existed). It’s rich, potent and sweet. Very similar to Tihota, but without the musk. It’s also very similar to Vani…See More

Vanilla is a whole range of smells – what kind are you looking for? Sweet? Not Sweet? Dusty? Spicy? Woody? Amber? Powdery? Fruity? Floral?

  29. Suzanne Sharief says:

I love all interpretations of vanilla to be honest but I’m currently looking for something that smells close to actual vanilla pods…that lasts and that is fluffy and not too strong

  30. Cyndi Hunter says:

Suzanne Sharif for true unencumbered vanilla a great inexpensive option is Outremer Vanille and then there is SDV from Guerlain, Vanilla Absolu from Montale and Estate Vanilla from Solstice Scents

  31. Claire Sprigmore says:

Suzanne Sharief for a fluffy feel I would choose Guerlain Shalimar souffle De parfum- reminds me of sweet vanillic fluffy clouds in the dry down.

  32. Richard Potter says:

Vanilla Smoke from Aftelier, and Sicilian Vanilla Attar from Rising Phoenix Perfumes.

  33. Daniel Oshima says:

The “perfect vanilla” is one of those concepts that just doesn’t exist. You will find many interpretations and you’ll settle for a few and then get tired of them and continue searching. If you’re lucky, you’ll come to realize that they’re all perfect. -Buddha
