own an amazing leather scent. Safe and worthy of the hype?

Tomorrow or Saturday I’m thinking of buying a 100ml bottle of TF Tuscan Leather. Blind buy.
I absolutely love leather and want to own an amazing leather scent.
Safe and worthy of the hype?
Thanks.

Starts off leathery then it dries down to such a classic fruity scent. I love it.

Definitely worthy of the hype, but not necessarily safe. It is an incredible scent, in my humble opinion, but it is definitely not for everyone. Even if you love leather, I recommend getting a decant. 100ml is a huge commitment. Just my two cents! 🙂

Steve Schroeder has great deals. I haven’t used him yet, but I know he’s got quality product at very affordable prices.

    Does your friend ship internationally?

  4. Steve Schroeder says:

I commented on a different thread here my personal opinion of the frag, and agree 100ml is like a lot lot of TL

  5. Brian Alexander says:

Save yourself some money and by La Yuqawaam by Rasasi. Nearly indistinguishable from TL.

  6. Dhruba Dasgupta says:

It’s extremely close but it’s definitely more harsh with the leather and leans less fruity. I have both and would wear TL in the fall and use La Yuquawam in the winter due to its heavy leather.

My #2 and is toe to toe with my #1 aventus spot

  8. Nate Manning says:

Oh my God no freaking way is that a good blind buy! Quite possibly one of the most dangerous blind buys in the game LOL

It smells like someone rubbed cocaine all over a brand new basketball. NOT safe. Sample first!

  9. Nate Manning says:

Well that’s def a plus! I’d still sample first pal

  10. Nate Manning says:

    La yuqawam is more harsh!

  11. Kwame Addo says:

I’m pretty sure 99 percent of people who own both will disagree

  12. Nate Manning says:

Wow, that high of a percentage, huh?

  13. Dhruba Dasgupta says:

I believe that La yuquawam has a harsher leather note and leans less fruity because of that

  14. Nate Manning says:

    Harsher cocaine smell too ?

  15. Dhruba Dasgupta says:

Nate Manning no clue what that smells like and could care less! However I’ve heard that before and I’ll let them enjoy that comparison!

  16. Nate Manning says:

    I hear you brother

EJ Trinidad it’s true man. I’m not glorifying it at all. People sometimes assume you’re a junkie when you make the connection between the two. In my early twenties let’s just say bills weren’t paying themselves ha! And once you smell it once you don’t forget it. Could be one of many reasons I dislike it ? I damn sure don’t wanna smell like it!

  18. Kwame Addo says:

lol maybe 80 percent but they say the raspberry note in layuqawam is more pronounced and sweeter and makes it more wearable. I have layuqawam and a decant of TL and for someone with an untrained nose like mine, I really don’t get any difference

  19. William Reyes says:

Tuscan leather is everything but safe. Try it first, and like other said la yuqawam is 98% the same. Source: I had bottles of both.

  20. I’d go with Montale Aoud Leather instead. It’s very similar but better imo.

  21. Judith Nitcy says:

While I adore Tuscan Leather, I would not call it a safe blind buy by any means. It’s extremely potent and has a very distinct raspberry note.

  22. Brandon Wallace says:

Even if you like it 50ml would probably last you a lifetime since it’s a hard scent to wear all the time. Look for a used bottle or a decant of 20ml which will still last forever.

  23. Dhruba Dasgupta says:

If you really like leather I think it’s fine. It’s a masculine fruity scent. I think it’s probably one of the best from the private line (tbh most of his line is great but they all lack character since he intended them to be blended)

  24. Michael Jerro says:

    Get La Yuqawam!

  25. Kris Goss says:

I blind bought it and I thought it was amazing, the first hour it feels like the raspberry and the leather are having a war on who is the dominant note in the fragrance, one of my favorites in my collection and I have alot

Nate Manning same thing for me. Not saying it’s cool but the opening smells like coke lol.

  28. Anthony McQuiston says:

La yukawam is scratchier or harsher for sure. More linear too. But really close. Maybe just more synthetic cuz it is made cheaper. Idk.

  30. Alexandre Campioni says:

LaYuqawan has a more pronounced raspberry note and is less harsher than TL.

  31. Kevin Justin DeCarlo says:

La Yuqawam smells like cocaine and lasts forever. If you’ve ever done cocaine I’d stay away from it.

    Get La Yuqawam!

  39. Jean-Maurice Bicard says:

No thanks. I don’t care about the price. I’d rather have the original and not a copy of the same scent even if it could smell identical.

  40. Jean-Maurice Bicard says:

I think la yaquawam has a wierd dry down.

  41. Kris Goss says:

What’s up Robbie. It’s a pretty remarkable clone. And I hate clones, lol. But sounds good my man. I like TL!

  42. Gene Meltser says:

Really appreciate the comment etc. Thank you.

However. I do not really like Decants. I’m into the original bottle. I just like to own the original stuff lol.

  43. John Savvas says:

For sure, I understand completely. Either way, if you’re not anywhere near a Tom Ford Boutique or a mall or shopping center that has TF in it to get a sample, then I’d go with Steve and get a 10ml decant to try the stuff out, especially if you’re paying retail for your juice.

  44. Michele Whitty Ross says:

Hi ha thanks mang! I see tags sometimes. I don’t rarely give opinions on things I carry- not even Aventus much except for jokes, but on this I’d throw my opinion in
TF Tuscan Leather is not worth the $200 give or take it goes for non retail. It’s nice, but a repetitive scent for most/ for not most there are much better values and better overall leathers.
