Same here. Sauvage for me too.

  6. Michael Goodman says:

crazy! smells nothing like that to me. what I get from Sauvage is a clean fresh shower gel type scent and man do i get ridiculous complements with it. mine would probably have to be 1 million.

  7. Joshua Boyle says:

Wasn’t on hype but I blind bought declaration by Cartier. That cumin note comes off as straight B.O. to my nose. Couldn’t sell it fast enough

  8. Kurt Patrick says:

PLENTY! The unforgettable regret is L’Artisan Perfumeur Al Aoudh ???

  9. James Rodriguez Lol. I wanted to stir up some controversy. But in all honesty, it’s not my favorite fragrance. I wasn’t regretful or buying it, or even blind buying it. I just… I feel like there are better options out there especially for the price point!

  10. Oswald Bates says:

I’ve never bought a frag on hype, partly because I intentionally avoid frags that are really popular.

  11. Max Powers says:

24 Gold. It was a travesty

Wish it was heavier on the tobacco note and less cinnamon

    Never by into hype

Honestly? Guerlain Habit Rouge EDT. The reviews were glowing, and I was super underwhelmed. Blind bought based on reviews saying it was a masterpiece. “Not dated at all.” An “artistic success.” A “fantastic fragrance.” A “must have.” “Love at first sniff.”

To me, it smells old, stale, dated, not unlike a musty old leather saddle. Reminds me of how my grandma’s house smelled in 1972. A mix of antique leather, musty books, old wood furnishings, lemon furniture oil, and that awful grandma floral lotion. Not all of that is entirely unpleasant, but it isn’t very good. I don’t enjoy it much and it was a major disappointment. ?

What do you think about this? Yasmine Saih

  25. Scott Bond says:

I hated it when i first tested it. It must have been on skin, because years later i tested it on paper, and it was okay but kind of boring. I was brave enough to blind buy the EDP because i love the notes, and it is very good. I want to try the EDT again but i don’t want to pay!

  26. Jake Magill says:

Ivan Kavanagh Based on your memory, would you say the EDP is a lot better? Is it quite different? I don’t necessarily think the EDT is awful overall, but it wasn’t at all what I expected based on notes and reviews.

  27. Parampal Singh Sidhu says:

Donovan Twaddle i would absolutely recommend the EDP. The EDT smelled old man, which i never say.

  28. Zach Malan says:

Ivan Kavanagh THANK YOU. Exactly what I thought. Super dated. Launched in 1965 and definitely smells like it. I’ll try to get my nose on the EDP.

  29. Shaun Leonard says:

    Donovan Twaddle wearing it now!

  30. Richard Tompkins says:

Ivan Kavanagh Nice! I’ll try to hunt down a sample or decant.

  31. Michael Andrews says:

Donovan Twaddle i actually blind bought it, which is rare, but it’s $25 for 100ml, and samples were like $10.

  32. Jason Coursey says:

Hgo Gez you already know what I think about it. Habit Rouge is not for everyone. Personally I love it on the right person!

  33. Nelson René Ramírez says:

Yasmine Saih I reckon Habit Rouge is not for me:(

  34. Sid Mohak says:

Hgo Gez Definitely try before you buy.

  36. P.J. Taillon says:

D&G light blue for men, that synthetic mess, yet, the women’s version is gorgeous. I threw it in the trash. I had Sauvage before I was in any fragrance groups or seen any reviews, my nose choose that, and I ain’t looked back.

  37. Ahmed Parf says:

“Midnight In Paris” Very powdery and to my nose something an older woman would enjoy. Huge disappointment.?

  38. EJ Trinidad says:

Dana Paul but it’s branded for men , right ?

  39. John M. Brooks says:

    Hamid Abudhaise Yes.

  40. John M. Brooks says:

Dana Paul I bought mine mainly because of the hype and because it was discontinued. I like it though, so it’s not really a disappointment for me.

  41. Gregory Andrew Duncan says:

Not really hyped, but there was/is plenty of praise for Lalique’s Encre Noire, do not fancy that one at all. Blind bought a 100ml.

  42. Max Powers says:

Alf Sallander happened to me too.

  43. Mohamed Mostafa says:

Alf Sallander smells cheap and disgusting to me

  44. Ivelin L. Kostov says:

Creed Viking. Smells like something my grand father would wear
